New poll shows Canadians want a change of leadership
Six in ten Atlantic Canadians want Justin Trudeau to step down as prime minister, according to an Ipsos poll released on Monday.
The poll of more than 1,000 showed that 63 per cent of adult Canadians in the Atlantic region want a federal election in 2023.
Canadians between the ages of 18 and 35 were most supportive, with 65 per cent saying they want the election.
Three months ago, an Ipsos poll in Atlantic Canada reported Justin Trudeau as the least popular candidate for prime minister, with 22 per cent support.
Jagmeet Singh led Atlantic Canada at the time, with 44 per cent saying he was the best candidate. Pierre Poilievre ranked second in the region, with 35 per cent support.
